A beautiful crystalline blue black vase by California artist Mary Burton. Elegantly formed ceramic piece with large dark cobalt blue crystals formed in the glaze on a plain black background. Crystals even extend a bit to interior rim of vase - believe it takes a measure of skill to get them to form correctly when fired in the kiln. Signed on base with "Burton".
In good vintage condition, with no cracks or chips. Some crazing throughout the piece.
