Antique 1933, J.B. Hirsch Company
bookend set of a Chinese man and woman metal figurines. The metal is believed
to be led but unable to confirm. This is a scare set because most sets have two
men. The figures show the man-eating from a bowl and the woman holding a bowl
of food. The figures are firmly mounted on a black metal base that measures 4
1/8" deep X 3 1/2" wide. The
Figures are approximately 8 1/2" tall, and the combined weight is
approximately five pounds four ounces, they have some paint chipping (see
pictures for details), the man is missing one of the chopsticks (see photos), but overall in excellent vintage
condition. The hands are secure, and both heads are in proper position on pins and pins are
secured in the body, but the woman’s head is loose.
This is a smoke and pet free environment.
