Rare African hand drum. The body was carved out of a solid piece of hardwood. The leather drum head and another piece of animal skin wrapped around the bottom, are interlacing, tied together with one leather string, creating the tension the drum needs to produce its unique sound.
The exact origin of this drum is not well known.
The drum is in a good condition. Head is tight with no cracks. There are one spot where two holes in the bottom piece of skin are torn, but this has no effect on the tightness and sound. which is soft but characteristic. Please see photos and video for reference.
