1904 Yankee Label Bread Yard Long Maud Humphrey Butterfly Time Print Advertising

This is a vintage Maud Humphrey print entitled "Butterfly Time" advertising Yankee Label Bread, "It's Smackin' Good". This lovely old litho print was repurposed around the turn of the century by The Yankee Label Bread Company to promote their product. I read but cannot confirm they had 50 printed with their name and logo right above the title of the print in a smaller size than the original (Original is 42" x 17" and this is appx. 34 1/2" x 10"). Slightly under a yard but still considered a yard print.

First issued as a chromolithograph print in 1903, ”Butterfly Time" by Maud Humphrey: a sweet Victorian children's garden scene awash in pastels, a breezy spring day, drowsy pink roses, a bevy of rosy-cheeked toddlers. Signed in lower right corner, “Maud Humphrey 1903,” then published in 1904 by the Gray Lithograph Company of NY.

Primarily known today as Humphrey Bogart's mother,
